He has also covered music festivals internationally, including Rebellion (England), Hellfest (France), With Full Force (Germany) and Wacken (Germany).
In 2016, 2015, 2013 and 2012 Rod worked in a voluntary capacity for Reclink Australia as their official photographer for the Sydney Community Cup, at Henson Park, Marrickville, NSW. In April 2013 he worked as an official photographer on the Dig It Up! Festival, held in Enmore Theatre and surrounds.
A photograph taken by him was selected as one of the finalists in the bi-annual Olive Cotton portrait competition for 2013, alongside some of Australia’s most renowned photographers including Narelle Autio, Trent Parke, Tamara Dean and Sahlan Hayes.
